Could you walk me through your career path, starting with your experiences in college? Please include any internships or jobs you had on your way to your current role.
My career path basically started in undergrad. Initially, I wanted to work in social services, and then I ended up going to graduate school.
During graduate school, I decided I wanted to be a professor. Then, during graduate school, I decided not to become a professor. I got into a PhD program, which gave me a lot of time to work on my own projects.
I knew at the time that statistics, data analysis, and coding in Python and R were important skills to have. So I decided to maximize my time and work on those skills. As soon as I graduated, I applied for data analyst positions. Now I work at the University of San Diego.
