What did you do in undergrad to set you up for success in your career?
First of all, it takes so much focus and determination. You have to stay really connected. I tried different things and took elective classes to make sure I wasn't limiting myself.
This way, if I changed my mind again, I would have options. It's also important to seek out internships and volunteer opportunities.
Be in spaces where you can meet people. You never know who you might meet, maybe a friend of your mom's. You could ask if you could shadow them for a day.
You just have to ask, and you might learn a wealth of things just from putting yourself out there. It's not just about the classes or your major.
It's about using that time to invest in yourself. We don't always realize this when we're young and get stressed about grades.
Keep your options open and set yourself up so you have choices, even while staying focused on the task at hand. Also, have grace with yourself.
