Transcript
What are your main responsibilities within your current role?
I am responsible for ensuring that investigational drugs, drugs that are not FDA approved yet, are stored and maintained in a pharmacy, locked away, and I ensure their safe use for patients. So, I act as a bridge between the pharmaceutical industry sponsors, the drug developers, and patients.
To get the drug to the patients, the pharmaceutical companies have to send the drug to the pharmacy. I help manage the inventory as well as review the clinical trial startups and operational startups.
Eventually, the end goal is that we find patients who fit and match into these trials. We then make sure that we give the correct drug to the patients.
