What do you enjoy most about being in your role?

The thing I enjoy most about this role is the advising and coaching element of it. I really love it when a leader calls me and says, "Hey, I just need to run something by you." They want to talk it out and throw ideas around, and be a sounding board.

I think that's fun and it really allows me to learn about leadership, how they approach problems, and all the different variables they're trying to factor in when making a decision. So, it's a good learning opportunity for me.

It leads me to another favorite element of this role, which is being able to create something. A leader calls and wants to talk through something, seeking advice and coaching. Sometimes that's it, but sometimes it turns into, "How do we solve this problem? What can we create together that will bring a solution or clarity or transparency, or whatever the situation of the day is?"

"What can we do together to make a better employee experience?" That's what's really fun. It's knowing that you're taking input from employees through working with leaders and bringing something back that will hopefully make them more successful, happier, and encourage them to stay at the company. So, that whole cycle I find really rewarding.
