What do you enjoy most about being in your current role?
Flexibility is an important skill. I also appreciate the flexibility that being in academia offers. It allows me a lot of flexibility in my schedule to create my own hours.
I can be involved in many different avenues of education. I still get to visit schools and classrooms, but I'm also involved with things happening in higher education. I really appreciate how I can see all sides of this corner of the field.
I love mentoring future scholars and future teachers. Preparing them for their careers, whatever they might be, is rewarding. I enjoy giving them ways they can build off of my work and expand it into their own research.
My favorite thing is seeing a student go from start to finish in a program. Then, they walk across the graduation stage knowing they are ready for the next step.
