Transcript

As an international alum, how has that impacted how you've navigated your career?

It has a lot of impact. Now that I'm thinking about it, I've really been able to see the difference between working with other international alumni versus not. It's a very stark difference.

It's a little more collaborative, meaning I've been able to sponsor other international alumni. I know where they're coming from and their true value. I know that it's not just the resume that matters, but also what it takes to be an international student and then an international alum.

This is especially true in the long term. I also get to practice a lot of languages. I talk to each person in their native language, somewhat, because I speak a few.

To put it less professionally, it's just a different vibe when you have a lot of internationals on the team. I've started hiring internationally, so I have a few remote employees who work from home.

Deciding to work with other international alumni was the best decision I could have ever made. I will never go back on that.
