What sort of skills are most important for a job like yours?
Working in finance, you have to have a good head for numbers. You need to be good at number crunching, technical skills, and analytical skills. I think that's really important.
Another important aspect is having good communication skills. Because I am quite client-facing and do a lot of presentations, having good oral communication and presentation skills is also really important.
On that note, having good written communication skills is also very helpful. Not just in my role, but in any position, demonstrating good organization skills is key. For instance, in emails, I like using bullet points, numbers, and action items. I think that's very handy in general for any position.
