How would you describe people who typically thrive in this industry?

For 3M, they specifically work in industrial manufacturing. Honestly, a lot of scientists thrive in this industry; they are the creators of the patents that 3M holds.

Scientists are really the lifeline of 3M. They create the products through which 3M is able to accumulate revenue.

Even though I don't work as a scientist or a creator at 3M, having an aptitude to understand technical lingo within the company is an example of someone who is able to thrive. Even if you're not producing or working in the lab like many 3M employees do, being able to understand what's happening in the company and how to support its technical needs is a characteristic of someone who would thrive.

This involves making sure you understand what the more technical employees at 3M are able to accomplish and how to support them.
