What are your main responsibilities within your current role as a senior VP?
The company I've been with, I needed to build the HR team from scratch and have it aligned with the business strategy. I needed to not only build a team and understand the business strategy, but also build programs around that strategy to ensure the company could continue to grow.
This meant I had to recruit well and ensure compensation was fair. I also needed to make sure we complied with legal requirements, among a thousand other things.
