What have you learned about this role that you wish someone would have told you before you entered the industry?
When I first started out, I was more intimidated by executives and C-suite individuals. As I gained more experience, I realized that people are people at the end of the day.
Whether you're talking to a CMO or a business user, they might have more experience, but we're all still human. They'll have human emotions and react accordingly.
For anyone starting their career, it's important to remember that everyone goes to sleep at the end of the day. They face similar challenges, regardless of their executive or entry-level position.
This understanding helps humanize my demonstrations. I can appeal to raw human emotions by asking, "How frustrating is it to deal with X, Y, Z problem?" While CMOs might face different issues than entry-level employees, their emotional reactions are still human. You can appeal to that and adjust your demonstration style accordingly.
