What skills are most important for a job like yours?

When it comes to sales, and specifically being an SDR, I think you need three big skills. The first is grit, which you learn through experience and putting yourself out there.

For us, I think someone with a lot of grit and determination is key. The second skill you need is resilience to get through objections. Just because someone objects, they're not objecting to you personally.

They're objecting to what you're saying on the phone or via email. This leads to my last skill, which is communication. My undergraduate degree was in communication, and I think it's about being timely and effective.

You only have about 10 seconds over the phone to really get someone interested in what you're talking about. If you can do that in a clear and concise manner, those three skills all come into play on a day-to-day basis for an SDR job like this.
