What does the day in the life of a sales development representative look like?
What does the day in the life of a Sales Development Representative look like? My day involves coming into the office. Luckily, I can work from home on Mondays and Fridays.
When I'm in the office, I immediately check my emails to see if anyone has responded or if there's anyone I need to follow up with. I'd say that takes up the first 30 minutes to an hour.
Right after that, we have something called calling hours. For about an hour or two, we're all in the office calling prospects and trying to set up meetings.
Then, around lunchtime, I'm usually prospecting. So, as I mentioned, you have those three buckets: calling, emailing, and prospecting.
You kind of sporadically throughout the day, depending on your territories, have to make time for that. You probably do those three things twice a day, maybe three times, depending on the day. That's what a day in the life as an SDR, at least at Green Street, looks like.
