What is your biggest challenge in your role?
The biggest challenge by far is handling objections. That's a big thing we train about here at AT for SDRs: when someone tells you they're not interested, are too busy, or something similar, how do you handle that? There are ways to handle it.
That's the hardest part because you get objections daily. This isn't something anyone shies away from, or that anyone is better at or hiding from. You just have to face it head-on.
That's why grit and determination are probably two of the biggest skills you need. You just have to keep going, plowing ahead, and move on to the next one if they're really just not interested.
Being able to handle those over the phone or via email is critical. It's definitely the most challenging part, but also the most rewarding. Because once you can overcome those objections, you realize the work that you've put in. You've actually gone from maybe starting at point A and now you're at point B or C because you handled those objections accordingly.
