What is your biggest challenge in your current role?
My biggest challenge in my current role, I would say, is the wait-and-see nature of a changing industry. I've been working in post-production for 10 years and have been a supervisor for about half that time. So many things have changed from the beginning of my career until now.
This is one of the more exciting things I love about my career, but it can also be a little anxiety-inducing. You see in the news all the time about strikes and work stoppages. We also had a worldwide pandemic that was quite a challenge, basically completely changing the way we made films.
So, that can be the most challenging thing. But even though it's challenging, I don't really see it as a negative. It's just something that acts as the wet stone upon which I sharpen my skills.
