What are your main responsibilities within your current role?
My main responsibilities vary widely. With project management and construction, a big part of it is schedule and budget tracking. These are the main factors in keeping projects on track and making sure we deliver what the client has asked for within the allotted time.
A large part of what we do is contracting, so I contract all the vendors who work under us. I also handle stakeholder management. Stakeholders include various divisions for the client, such as the facilities team or the project executive who oversees the design.
We have weekly meetings with all of them. We also have weekly meetings on most of the projects for design and construction. We are very heavily involved with all of the design and construction progress. On our end, we ensure we stay on track and deliver what the client asks for.
