What is one lesson that you've learned that has proven significant in your career?
The biggest lesson I've learned is being a good listener. One of my managers told me early on that if you go into a meeting and talk more than the person you're trying to get information from, then you didn't have a successful meeting.
I like to talk and get to know people, but I go into a meeting because I have questions and need to learn something from whoever I'm meeting with. If I don't let them talk or listen to what they're saying, I could start working on a project and go down the complete wrong path. Being a good listener is definitely key.
