What is one lesson you've learned that has proven significant in your career?
Excellence is probably my top number one value. It's definitely in my top three. I'm typically a bit independent and capable of doing things on my own, and I want things done to a very high standard.
I've learned something really significant: my work is so much better when I work on a team. Groups can come up with ideas and products that are so much more different than what I would have thought of if I was working alone.
I've really learned the value of talking to other people. Even if I think I have an excellent idea, the fact that others have a different perspective makes their contribution valuable. Working with others, whether brainstorming or making things, has been very significant in my career.
