What skills are most important for a job like yours?

The most important things are being detail-oriented and organized. We book about a hundred shows a year, and each one is so different. It's essential to keep track of multiple projects with many different elements simultaneously.

We're also working with multimillion-dollar budgets. A mistake on a show settlement or a contract could cost us a significant amount of money and also hurt relationships with artists or promoters.

We deal with very intense people and lots of egos in this business. Being able to be calm under pressure and solutions-focused has been super essential for me in my role.

When promoters or managers look to you for a solution, you have to hear what they're saying and find a way to help them without getting flustered. Things often happen last minute, so being proactive and anticipating clients' needs is a huge part of client servicing.

We want everyone, from guests to promoters to agents and managers, to have an amazing time in our building. Anticipating needs and questions, and getting ahead of those things, is key.

Relationship building is also a really important skill. It's essential to develop strong relationships with promoters so they want to come back, and we need to be a good partner to them.
