What are your main responsibilities within your current role?
The best part about being a communication strategist is that no two days are the same. My main responsibilities include helping with writing and drafting newsletters and social media strategy.
I also write many communication reports about our external face as a company, and funder reports. Along with that, we do a bit of event management because our nonprofit organizes journalism fellowships.
In terms of journalists wanting to promote their work, we help blast that on social media. It's like putting your hand in a lot of different responsibilities, which is a lot of fun.
