What are your main responsibilities within your current role?

As a smaller company, I do a lot even though I'm the CEO and managing broker. I have to wear many hats. My main responsibility is to set the organization's direction, strategy, leadership, and vision.

I direct where the company is going, our business model, target market, and customers. I also determine which markets we want to be in, where we want to do business, and where we fit within the competitive landscape.

The brokerage community is fragmented, with many types of companies available for agents. A lot of my work involves recruiting and training. I also write content for agents and engage in sales management activities, like managing KPIs, sales activities, and reviewing pipelines and reports.

I'm also responsible for company financials, tracking income and expenses, and setting sales goals. Additionally, I oversee all the content we produce for the public. We are an investment real estate brokerage, so we focus on investor education, which is how we connect with clients.

This includes writing articles, conducting market research, and giving speaking engagements. We also hold seminars and I appear on podcasts. We film content for YouTube and Instagram to help people become familiar with us and how we operate.

When potential clients are ready to engage, they often meet with me to go through a learning process. So, I do a little bit of everything. At the same time, I am still an agent and broker myself.

My days are often spent finding and negotiating deals for clients, guiding them through escrow, and handling financing, renovations, and other details to ensure deals close. I also manage my own properties, which is separate from the brokerage business.
