What did you do in undergrad to set you up for success in your career?
I think I've talked about lists several times at this point, but I love checklists. Having a sticky pad next to me, a calendar in front of me, and a calendar on my phone helps me stay organized and on track.
I'm not joking when I say I didn't pull all-nighters because I planned in advance for the things I needed to do. I knew how stressful things already are, so why should I create more stress for myself by leaving things to the last minute?
Creating lists, creating calendars, scheduling assignments ahead of time, anticipating things, and filing systems are all important. Organization is key, and time management is key.
I also mentioned that seeking opportunities tailored to who you are really helped me. I knew I wanted to go into business in some way, shape, or form. I was also debating law for a very long time.
So I made those two things happen for me by doing the Edge program or finding a law school where I could work during the day and then go to school at night. This also led to going into different concentrations and minors that would supplement all of that for me. So again, organization, researching opportunities, and time management are all big things.
