Transcript

Sure. How would you describe people who typically thrive in this industry?

In law generally, you can encounter any number of unhappy attorneys. I don't think that's a secret.

However, that's less so in my field. I believe it's why people join the Department of Defense and work in the military. It's not for a big payday, but because they are driven by a higher purpose.

The people who thrive as government attorneys, military attorneys, and civilian attorneys in the Department of Defense are focused on the mission, not the minutiae. They are more interested in serving the country and public service.

When that is your focus, you are more satisfied than chasing a paycheck. It's not that I'm unhappy with my paycheck, but I won't make millions of dollars doing this. I think I'm happier than many who do.
