What do you enjoy most about being in your industry?

My industry is the Department of Defense, and I had a great time during my Navy career. Not every moment was a party, but it was a wonderful career. It was challenging and interesting.

I changed assignments every two to three years. I might be working in the courtroom for a couple of years, and then the next couple of years I'd be on a ship. I spent time in Iraq, Guam, and all over the place.

Each facet of the law was a little different in each assignment, so I was never bored; I was always challenged. That's what makes my industry so interesting in that respect.

Now I am a little more stable in terms of geography and more focused in the area I practice in. But it's still very rewarding, again because it's serving a greater purpose in the Department of Defense, working with the people and the camaraderie. It's been great.
