What does a day in the life of an attorney look like?
A day in the life of a military attorney can vary greatly. It might be very military-focused, involving morning workouts, drills, and assignments across a ship when stationed on an aircraft carrier.
I've also served in a war zone in Iraq, which was very military. However, some military assignments have been much more office-like.
When I worked in trials and as a judge, I was in office buildings, doing standard attorney work. This involved preparing for hearings and trials, and collaborating with associates on cases.
My current job is also corporate, though I wear a different uniform. It's standard trial preparation work where I review files, attend hearings, and prepare for those assignments. I presented at a hearing this morning.
It's really a broad spectrum, and that's why it's been a great career. I've never been bored.
