Favorite Parts of Working in the Architecture Industry as an Architect and Landscape Designer

Amy, a Landscape Design Architect at CLIMATE Architecture + Development, finds the most rewarding aspect of the industry to be "keeping up with what's being built," specifically focusing on urbanism and the city's growth, and imagining how designs can improve the overall urban context. This involves continually learning about current projects and "daydreaming about how it can make things better."

What do you enjoy most about being in your industry?

I enjoy looking at the projects that other people in the industry have and keeping up with what's being built. This is on a larger level, focusing on the urbanism, the whole city, its growth, and its health.

When we create a piece of architecture or landscape within the city, we are thinking about that context in a larger role. I really like learning about what's going on in the industry in terms of what's being built. I also enjoy daydreaming about how it can make things better.
