What skills are most important for a job like yours?
In the long-term strategy and where the brand is going, there are steps you need to take. Sometimes, this means making short-term compromises.
When it comes to a brand, many different players have input. This includes product, technology teams, designers, and engineers, depending on your role. It's important to listen to all these parties.
You need to understand how they fit into marketing, which varies in importance depending on the team. Being creative and resourceful is also key.
While sometimes you have ample resources, many successful opportunities in my career were achieved with little to no money, through bartering, or with a very slim budget. You must allow yourself space and time to discover creativity.
In marketing, you don't have much time to hold onto ideas; someone else will take them. So, figure out how to execute quickly.
