Main Responsibilities of a Global Operations Manager at ServiceNow
Allison's role as Global ISV Operations Supervisor at ServiceNow is "kind of twofold," encompassing leadership of a five-person team and managing the operations of the partner ecosystem, which involves "working with the partners, working internally with the ServiceNow sales team" to optimize high-volume transactions and continuously improve processes across various departments. This requires "put[ting] on two hats" to balance team management and operational efficiency improvements.

What are your main responsibilities within your current role?
My current role as Global Operations Manager is twofold. One aspect is leadership. I manage a team of five specialists: three in the US and two in our Hyderabad, India office.
The other part of my role involves managing the operations of my business unit. This includes not only the day-to-day operations but also project and program management. Being in operations means you're closely connected with other departments like legal, finance, and sales.
You also gain good executive exposure, especially since sales operations are crucial for helping sales teams succeed. So, in essence, my job is about managing a team and ensuring they meet their goals, both professional and personal.
We also focus on career growth and performance for each team member. Each specialist has their own responsibilities based on their role and area of expertise within our operations.
The business unit I manage is our partner ecosystem. Partners develop apps on ServiceNow's platform, and it's a resell model. They provide the app, and we provide the platform.
My work involves collaborating with these partners and ServiceNow's sales team to facilitate these transactions. It's a high-volume area, so finding efficiencies is key.
As a leader, I need to constantly improve how we transact, build, and handle daily tasks. This requires wearing multiple hats and structuring my day effectively to manage all these responsibilities.
