What do you enjoy most about being in your role?
What I enjoy most is the feeling of achievement. This happens when we find a shortage of a critical part that goes into the rocket engine. I love the achievement feeling of being able to find a solution, and to find it fast.
Another big portion of my role that I enjoy a lot is my interpersonal engagement. This involves my conversations and negotiations with my suppliers. It always helps me grow and learn about the other person, and people in general, how they operate in business deals.
It's always a lot of fun to learn. It's also a lot of fun to lead meetings and negotiations in general, and to have that upper hand as a buyer. It's always fun being in that position.
But I think the biggest joy for me in my current role is our end product, since we make launch vehicles at Relativity Space. I'm really excited about our launch next year and the final product that we're going to build and compete with the rest of the space industry.
This brings me a lot of joy whenever I have hard, stressful, or questionable days as to why I'm doing this. It's always important to be excited about the final product that you're working on.
