What have you learned about this role that you wish someone would have told you before you entered the industry?
I wish I had known, I guess, for this role, how much sales would be involved. That's not necessarily business operations, as it's always sales. That's kind of what it has been for me, and it's not a bad thing. I have a ton of respect for salespeople now that I'm trying to do it.
I think I knew, but maybe I undersold to myself just how different this would be from previous roles I'd had. It wouldn't have stopped me from taking the job, but it might have helped me ramp up a little faster.
The other thing is, when you're working in the technology space, really spending the time to understand how the tech works has been critical for me. Had I been able to grasp some of that a little faster, that would have really helped me get up to speed in my role.
