What did you do in undergrad that set you up for success in your career?

I spent most of my time in undergrad preparing to be an architect, which I realized I didn't want to be. So, I didn't really know what I was going to do coming out of college.

What was most beneficial for me was building a strong network of smart friends. I could bounce ideas off of them and talk things through.

The other thing was playing a sport. I spent a lot of time on it and was able to get better and see success. This helped me develop the muscle for practice, understanding that if you put in the time and work at something, you can improve and reap the rewards. I think that's probably been the most important lesson I took away.

If I had to do it over again, I probably would have spent a little more time exploring different career paths. I would have taken advantage of the time to play the student card and ask people to talk to me, to understand what their day-to-day is like. Everyone is always happy to talk to students, so I think that's something I would have done a little differently.
