What do you enjoy most about being in your industry?
I love everything about my industry, which is education and nonprofit. I'm a fervent believer in the power of public education.
I think going through our education system is one of the few things that most, if not all Americans have in common. It is at the core and heart of communities.
As we think about thriving communities or communities that aren't thriving, you can look to the schools and see how it mirrors that or not. The work of education is deeply profound and has huge implications for our workforce, for economic mobility, and for families to thrive for our democracy and engaged citizenry.
I firmly believe, you know, the Teach for America slogan: "Every child deserves access to a high-quality learning opportunity."
