Q9: Wish known before - industry
When I originally started, I thought software development was all about just programming. I believed being able to program would make me succeed in the industry.
But I wish someone had told me it's not just about programming. A lot of it comes from the fact that you need to be able to solve an issue without causing other problems.
When I originally started, I thought the more code I wrote, the better an engineer I would become. But as I've progressed in my career, I've realized that you should write what works and what achieves the goal.
Write enough code to get the task done. I believe another thing someone could have told me is to try to relate your skills to how other people would interact with them or your system. That would have been really eye-opening for me.
